After my degree in biotechnological processes I worked in waste management for a long time. But then a sailing boat crossed my path and I discovered my passion for the sea!
Our sailing voyage
For a whole year we were on a long-distance cruise as a family with our two almost-grown children, a dog and a cat. Aboard our Hakuna Matata, a Dufour Atoll 50, we sailed from Athens via the Canaries and Madeira all the way to Barcelona. My wife Stefanie captured these unforgettable experiences in a book.
...and what came of it
Already during the trip I explained simple things on board to many fellow sailors. That's how the idea was born to make my knowledge and skills available to a larger group. Material testing and knowledge of plastics still come from my time as a student. After completing a number of relevant courses, I now work as a surveyor.
